IIM Ranchi - Admission, Courses, Fees & Rankings 2024

IIM Ranchi, also known as the Indian Institute of Ranchi, is one of the premier management schools in India established by the Government of India in the year 2009. IIM Ranchi is an autonomous institution for management education accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is declared as an Institute of National importance under the Govt. of India. It has also achieved a highly rated status of NAAC Grade A++ accreditation. As per the NIRF India Rankings 2023 that has been recently announced, IIM Ranchi has been placed at 13rd position in management institutes across the India.  

The IIM Ranchi provides education in master’s programs encompassing different fields of management such as finance, marketing, human resource, operation, IT and analytics. The selection process for the 2-year full time PGPM is based on the Common Admission Test (CAT) examination and further Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and the Personal Interview (PI) process. Batch of 2024-26 will sit for CAT 2023 examination which is likely to be held in November 2023. The final results can be expected by the end of January 2024, and the admissions process would be over in June 2024 with the new batch of students joining in. Apart from the PGPM, IIM Ranchi also provides executive management, fellow programs (FPM) as well as other short term management development programs and courses designed for working executives and corporates.

IIM Ranchi with reputed organizations of consulting firms, food and beverages, banking, financial service and insurance, manufacturing and operation sectors, IT/ITES and E-commerce sectors inviting the students. Placement session 2023 had revealed the maximum salary of 54 LPA whilst the mean salary was of 23.6 LPA. Over 180 organizations took part in the placement process while the main recruiters included Accenture Strategy, Amazon, Avendus Capital & Management, Bain & Company, BCG, Citi Bank, Deloitte US, Goldman Sachs, HUL, ITC, JP Morgan Chase & Co., PwC and Tata Steel.

IIM Ranchi Placements 2024

IIM Ranchi for the batch of 2021-23 was successful and the total number of students who got placements is 457. In the current year, more than 126 organisations were invited for placement process which include leading recruiters such as Bain & Company, Boston Consulting Group, Accenture Strategy, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase & Co, BNY Mellon, Citi, Deloitte, PwC, KPMG, E&Y, HSBC and ICICI Bank. The median salary rose to 25.5 LPA the maximum domestic offer was of 54 LPA that was offered by a consulting firm. This, translated into an average package of approximately 23.6 LPA which was higher by 15% as compared to the previous year’s average.
